Kelly Verpepsi is a baby drag monster in a constant cola sugar rush and in desperate need of aggression therapy. 🥤She is known for her energetic performances in which having fun is always priority! She searches for the Free in her alter ego Freek. Think exploding heads and trowing quechua tents in the air.&nbsp;Since her drag debut two years ago she performed at several stages like Send in the Clowns at De Studio, Unicorn Festival, Theaterfestival Closing Party, Midsummer Pride, Don&rsquo;t Drag my Morning Wood, Jaja Nette &amp; Susan&rsquo;s BBQ Roast &amp; Crown Me Bitch (which she won!). Together with drag legend Electra she organizes and hosts Shakesqueer, an open minded, queer event at Gentse Feesten, creating an underground queer stage in Ghent. The last edition took place at Closing Party of Filmfestival Ghent.&nbsp;Apart from her loony and crazy performances, she creates space for drag &amp; queer arts and tries to blend the boundaries between theatre, nightlife and drag, instead of blending her make up! The cherry on top was Queen of the Flies, a theatre/drag location performance by Camping Sunset with Kelly Verpepsi as visionair.&nbsp;Kelly often works together with costume designer Louis Verlinde on her fashion looks which are based around hardcore labour or the total womanization of objects, instead of the other way around! 💅&nbsp;Of course you can follow her on instagram too if you can&#39;t get enough of her in reality @kellyverpepsi&nbsp;

As per tradition, we close the festival and VIDEODROOM at Arts Centre VIERNULVIER with an epic Closing Party.Bring out your inner Prince, because this year&rsquo;s closing party is entirely dedicated to Purple Rain. Exactly 40 years ago, Prince became a worldwide phenomenon thanks to both the album and the film. The birthday party will be kick-started by Belgian talent Porcelain id, who will perform the iconic soundtrack (see Porcelain id x Purple Rain on the programme). Afterwards, you&rsquo;ll get to imagine yourself on the set of Purple Rain, as De Vooruit&rsquo;s Concertzaal will be transformed into the legendary First Avenue nightclub from the film by Ghent-based collective GHOST. Expect a wild ride of Minneapolis funk &amp; eighties pop, surprise performances, and - who knows - real purple rain. Let&rsquo;s go crazy!

Wat begint als een natte droom vol glitter en pruiken, ontaardt in een strijd om macht en erkenning: survival of the prettiest.Camping Sunset presenteert een campy bewerking van Lord of the Flies van William Golding. Tegenstrijdige groepsdynamieken komen bovendrijven, zoals de drang naar samenhorigheid, de angst voor uitsluiting, de zoektocht naar individuele zelfexpressie en de verdeling van macht. Wat gebeurt er wanneer deze vragen worden losgekoppeld van stereotypen over mannelijkheid en bevraagd worden door een groep waarin gender een breed en vloeibaar spectrum is?Camping Sunset werkt binnen deze voorstelling samen met een diverse groep drag performers. &nbsp;Zoals eigen is aan de Sunset-identiteit, wordt deze voorstelling in slechts twee weken repetitie op poten gezet.
